Argentina is back in the SSL Gold Cup Final Series, once again ready to compete among the world’s best. Ranked 15th in the SSL Nations Ranking, Argentina qualified directly for the 1/8 Finals, where they will face France from 2–5 December.

At the helm is Santiago Lange, one of Argentina’s most decorated sailors. A three-time Olympic medallist and Olympic champion in the Nacra 17, Lange brings decades of experience across dinghy, multihull and big-boat sailing. His career also extends beyond the racecourse, with experience as a naval architect and involvement in America’s Cup campaigns. Argentina has a strong sailing tradition, with 11 Olympic sailing medals to its name.

The last time we saw Argentina was in Gran Canaria in 2023, where they finished 17th and also made it to the 1/8 Finals. Three years later, they are back in the same stage, this time ranked 15th and ready for another challenge. It will be great to see the Argentinians back on the SSL47.
